PIMPING IN THE WORKPLACE

Everyone loves a little bit of pimping and promoting. Right? Well, this being a blog all about movies and the film industry, I see no reason(s) to not make this entry, since the things to be “pimped” in question are relevant to the topic of this entire blog!

As you should know (or if you don’t, please allow me to educate you on the matter this instant), I work for a film and television production company as a Creative Executive, which has me working on a variety of visual products such as, well – as you would expect – motion pictures and television programmes. I have my, as the title suggests, creative stamp on things, writing and producing at present. The company – Shadowhawk Films – is part of an Entertainment Group, which includes a sister company called United Film Productions International, which is the base for professional production and distribution services, as well as a talent and creative artists agency. Now, these two companies have just entered 2009 so-to-speak, as we now have a fully function Twitter account and two Facebook fan pages for each respective company, so feel free to check them out via the links below, and of course the two websites, which, naturally, have been established since inception.

And from there we come to the website I write for. A film website of course – Screenjabber – an online film and television review website, covering all entertainment releases from the cinema, to Blu-ray and DVD. It’s humbling to be one of the few out there who can call himself both a film-maker and film critic. Perhaps I’m a Roger Ebert in the making, only with hopefully a longer career making movies! So definitely be sure to check us out. We’ve got a review of James Cameron’s Avatar, which is released this coming Friday in the UK and USA, so give that a read if you’re interested! I’ll be giving my thoughts in a new blog entry on this monumentally-hyped movie with my expectations before I see it, and then another post when I’m back from a screening.

I hope this pimpage is of use to you, and for now take care!
